Perquimans County Emergency Services has an opening for a Full-Time Mobile Integrated Healthcare Provider:
Assist with Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) program operations, including patient case management, tracking and reporting program metrics, program grant management, community outreach and education, program quality improvement, emergency response integration, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
High School graduate or equivalent, Valid North Carolina driver’s license, Successful completion of an approved North Carolina Office of EMS EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic
training program and certification as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic and maintain level of certification, Successful completion of additional course work and/or certification to include, at a minimum, certification in cardiac care, pediatrics and trauma, as determined necessary by the Emergency Services Director, Two years of field experience as an EMS provider preferred, Able to pass an oral board with the sponsor hospital’s medical director to operate at the EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic level, Incident Command System (ICS) training including but not limited to IS – 100, 200, 700, and 800, PC proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software as well as Internet and email use, Strong technical report writing, research, and analytical skills.

We invest in the community through our Post Overdose Response Team, expansion of our Mobile Integrated Health program, and Water Rescue Team, but we invest in our people too. Since becoming a Paramedic level system in 2018, we have upgraded equipment to reduce injury and increase provider safety. We support provider growth by offering multiple training opportunities each month and participating in various pilot programs and trials. Social Work Supervisor III: Grade 73 (Salary Range - $57,588 - $87,211)
Supervision of a staff of Social Workers who provide direct services to clients in the areas of Child Welfare, Adult Services, and Day Care. Work supervised is predominately at the level of Social Worker I A& T, Social Worker III and Social Worker II and requires providing considerable guidance to staff in case consultation. Employee assigns cases to subordinates, coordinates work flow operations, and supervises staff through case review and consultation. Employees are responsible for staff training, resolving problems and ensuring quality services are provided. Employees' responsibilities may range from a single sub-unit in an agency or institution to multiple service programs in a small agency and may carry a small caseload. Employees may provide input to higher level management on administrative, personnel, and budget issues. Employees report to a higher level supervisor or administrator. Employees may be called upon in times of disaster, either natural or manmade, to staff an evacuation shelter or handle other assigned duties. Social Worker IA&T: Grade 70 (Salary Range - $50,464 - $76,421)
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that abused and neglected children in their own homes receive a minimum sufficient level of safety and care and/or removed from situations where that is not happening. Employees intervene actively in the environment on the client’s behalf as a provider of resources, locator of resources, interpreter of client’s need, mediator on client’s behalf, advocate for client and modifier of the environment. Employees act as a change agent, utilizing a problem-solving approach based on objective diagnostic study of the client in interaction with his/her environment. This is an advanced, professional level casework position providing protective, investigative, counseling and case management services for children who are at risk of neglect and/or abuse. Work involves investigation of alleged neglect and abuse, substantiation of the alleged neglect or abuse as prescribed by federal and state guidelines, providing expert testimony in court hearings, and following up with case management services for clients. Employees analyze situations and determine appropriate courses of action immediately or in short time spans and often under very stressful conditions. Employees may provide treatment to clients of any age and any developmental, mental, medical, substance abuse, financial or family program.
